10 Jul Future Design Podcast #015 with Vaidya Priyanka – Ayurvedic Life Equilibrium
Ayurveda is considered one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems.
It is not just a system for treating illness or preventing diseases, but Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). According to the ancient ayurvedic proverb “When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need”. From the advancement of Western medicine, we have slowly forgotten that, if nature and our constitution are not living in harmony, we cannot be healthy. Maybe we should be listening to ancient words of wisdom.
Vaidya Priyanka offers the wisdom that our mind has the power to heal our body and how to keep it vibrant and healthy to reach our full potential as humans.

Usually how we look on the outside is a reflection of what we feel on the inside and as I was mentioning this whole idea of Kayakalpa is such an important part of it so Kayakalpa spelt K A Y A K A L P A means the rejuvenation of the body and the spirit and it’s an ancient system for total body rejuvenation and it’s almost like I used these techniques of Kayakalpa it brings the physical and energetic or the subtle body is back into balance through a process of purification and constant nourishment.
Very simply put there are about ten things that I follow and I think those ten things are a really important part of one’s life in general so the first one of course I do meditation. I do a technique called Transcendental Meditation it is the most researched meditation technique in the world you can get more information on their website which is called TM.org TM.org. I’ve been doing this particular kind of meditation but pretty much from the time I was a ten-year-old and then the second part is a practice of yoga and that’s incredibly important and I do a style called the Hatha yoga and sometimes I do Vinyasa yoga which is more a flow kind of yoga highly recommended and as part of my yoga practice. I do a technique called Pranayama which is good for breathing exercises since of course we are all built on having oxygen for our cellular regeneration this particular process is exceedingly helpful and the third aspect that I work on is eating very effectively for my body type so that I can extra you know have that extra energy to do everything but I want to do and have the focus and clarity and the memory to do everything in a very precise way and for that I started a channel on YouTube for the community in general and that’s how I mean I eat like that pretty much whatever I portray on the show is the way that I eat that’s number three number four is I don’t take anything personally see everybody in this world is entitled to an opinion people can say a lot of things about you in fact it is one of the most important things in life it’s when you take everything in your life personally you are really spending the energy that is meant for being creative and doing wonderful things in life you’re actually ending up using that energy to ward off people like the way we wore our flies from a fruit there is no requirement to do that so I don’t do not take things personally and number five I have a spiritual practice which comprises of a gratitude Journal and prayer and I believe in a force that is greater than us and it is not restricted to one religion in my mind I believe that God as a concept is too big to fit into one religion so I believe in the concept of inclusivity and I believe that we have to take in everything that is present in the world with a lot of love and charm and that makes a really big difference number six I focus on the importance of being fearless because I think that when you are fearful in life you automatically lose the sense of spirit in adventure and when you’re fearless you invite this beautiful sense of adventure in life and I think that contributes greatly to how we age we all age the idea is not to become completely anti age or something it’s about remaining ageless and de-aging or in other words aging on your as opposed to how normally a person would age number seven I have a lot of fabulous friendships and relationships and people in my life that nature my happiness and my relationship with life and you know life has to be a celebration and people are a huge component of it I don’t like to be surrounded by anybody that does not ride on the same level or frequency and I think that’s super important number eight I always think of myself as an eternal student of life I don’t believe we can know everything I think I am more in the student mode than I am in the teaching mode I believe that you can learn from anybody and everything that happens in life number nine I love to travel there is nothing like that in this whole world because you can imagine how cold it is doing a number right I mean I have already made plans of what I plan to be doing and I know that I would want to do that responsibly so I think travel really contributes to it number ten is hydration I believe in drinking a lot of water but not drinking a lot of water at once because that could be too much for your kidneys but I constantly stay hydrated and I of course do my supplements on time and about life right what really keeps you youthful is discipline I think when you live a very disciplined life there is no way in which you are going to age fast so those are my 10 points, Taka.
